Define moral attitude

Define political attitude

Interrelationship between them

Explain the influence with examples

Moral views on what constitutes right and wrong behavior serve as the foundation of moral attitudes. In simple words it is the attitude one holds towards prevailing moral issues.

Political attitude is the attitude of a person that indicates his/her inclination towards the political ideology he/she supports, the party he/she votes for and the change he/she wants in the existing society.

Moral values are the roots on which political ideas develop.

Like the one who believes in equality principle, always supports political party with gender-neutral and women-friendly policies.

A supporter of value of justice gets moved by the prevailing injustice to marginalized sections in the society and believes in policies of political party which can address them.

An individual who have given primacy to honesty looks for a party which is corruption-free with clean record.

Similarly, if we have moral attitudes in which we are concerned about our own religion, then political attitude will be as such in which we support political party which favors our community and displeases other minorities resulting in majoritarian approach

Conclusion: Therefore, the basics of political attitudes should be that such moral attitudes can withstand rational scrutiny of right and wrong by taking help of our constitutional ideals.
